İzmit has 2 different Seas actually. One is Marmara Sea, which is just near the city center but it is dirty so you cannot swim. The other Sea is Black Sea but it is a little far. It is 46 kilometres away.
September is literally only 1 C cooler than August here, not a difference at all. Also the second wettest month of the year. It's a rather interesting month weather-wise but I wish it were much cooler.

For Upstate NY feels like even April is an extension of winter lol. The Ocean+The Great Lakes are a *****

It's going to be interesting keeping track of rainfall totals from this. Maybe upwards to 4 feet of rain in some parts?
