Looking like tomorrow may be the main event with Harvey here. The center of circulation is forecast to be just to the west of Alexandria around midday tomorrow.
Good luck. We'll be getting some rain from Harvey this coming weekend. What's your Harvey total at and for the month? I'm only at 2.6" for this month so far not including todays.

I thought it was going to stay to our south, but it looks like the forecast is shifting for the weekend.

My Harvey total so far is 3.91". Already up to 10.89" for the month of August! This is past the record for Alexandria of 10.44" set in 1998.
AEX shows 6.67" for the month, but there is missing data on August 23 when I received 2.63" from heavy t-storms... I'm hoping that the station still recorded the data. In the past AEX has had communications issues and the data was added at a later date, so I'm hoping this is the case again.
Ah interstate 10... probably my favorite road to drive on in TX. One of the only roads I know of that has a speed limit of 80 mph in many parts of the state, but only 70-75 near Houston though.
The part near Houston (exits 740-790 or so) is especially nice to drive on... at least it used to be nice before it got submerged and all.
Houston is by far my favorite place in TX. Lots of things to do, so much arts/sciences/universities/parks, and probably the biggest and nicest medical district I've ever seen. In comparison, DFW is a corporate/industrial hole, Austin is too small and hipstery, SA is ok but not nearly as big, and El Paso is just some far-removed/high-end outskirt of Juarez. It's unfortunate that Houston is the one most susceptible to stuff like this, but still really epic to see it get a year worth of rainfall in one week.
