Another suspicious station? I do see upper 80s around there so just a crazy Hot pocket again
I thought that too. But nearby Joliet is reading 88 degrees. So is Pontiac, and also Rensselear 20 miles from here. Even Gary on the lake is up to 86 degrees.
85 F with a 71 F dew point right now, 90 F heat index. This is actually pretty moderate by June standards.
That's almost exactly average for July here. That's our average high, and our average max dew point is 70 F, but the dew point typically peaks before the high is achieved.

I would say average here for early June would be about 88-89 F with a dew point of about 72-74 F or so. Yeah, DPs here are higher in the morning than in the afternoon. A stereotypical July day here starts off with like a 78 F dew point in the morning and the dew point "lowers" to 74-75 F for the afternoon.
3:15pm. The most relaxing steady light rain I can remember. Temps aren't chilly or warm either. 63°. Must be humid that's why doesn't feel chilly? Windows and doors open to the sound of rain and occasional birds. No wind.
I still can't believe you can drive 1 hour from southern PA in the 80s into the 50s. Shorts to sweatshirt
2PM temps IKK is not a sensor error as the NWS Chicago office in Romeoville also it hit 93F
