Wanted to compare LaGuardia to a suburb so I used White Plains.. White Plains was already in the 70s at midnight while LGA was still near 90°. lol 88 at midnight? Nuts!
but take a look at this morning. White Plains rose so fast and is even 1 degree warmer than LaGuardia too.

That's crazy! Our burbs are like that too, especially the northern suburbs. Can easily drop 7 to even 10 degrees lower at night than in the city.
It only got down to 70 last night. If it wasn't for the cold front coming through tonight, today would likely have been the first 70 degree low of the year. Still coukd happen but probably not.
It's currently 76 with a 65 dew after a brief rain. We reached a dew of 68 an hour ago, the highest of the year so far.
Run wasn't too bad, I went a bit slow but maybe that was just me not the weather. Cooling down tonight...
lol, maybe you're just getting older? nice to see the activity though. I didn't wanna try. I know the end result. lol Did you wear a sweatband? Salt in eyes with soaked tshirt while jogging sucks.

A good thing for pools? Which BTW aren't all that warm yet around here. How much does it take to warm a pool of water up?

Trapped heat is a real thing! We must save them from it! My neighbor who took all his trees down regrets it. His cooling bill is higher and the area around him home is noticeably hotter. I keep telling him to plant a damn tree, this isn't NYC! My backyard is all shaded after 2pm and you can feel it.
