So how many days with rain lasting the whole day do you want per year?

For me, a big fat 0. I see no point of having rain that lasts all day. Just makes it a pain to be ourtdoors as there are so many puddles and it takes awhile for the ground to dry out. Also leads to flooding in my basement and is just plain unpleasant.

8-10 days is enough annually.

I hate long bouts of rain too. But just for diversity's sake. Because too much sun and/our light rain will always be tedious.

Give me about 1.5 a month outside of winter, and 1 more inside winter (0.3/month?) So (1.5 * 9) + 1 = 14.5... we'll call it 15.

On days I have to sleep for a night shift or on days I feel like being cozy at home, all day rain sounds wonderful.

I love the sun and being outside, so too much rain and too much prolonged cloud cover totally depresses me, but there are advantages to some days being all rain.

10~15 days, mostly by light showers and a quick torrential without any thunderstorms accompanied.

Ha. I have a feeling I know why u started this thread. Yesterday was brutal. Non stop rain all day. 17hrs of it here. Been a while. Good for the landscape but I agree, it sucks!!

Id rather have nightime rains. Give me 7pm-7am rains instead!

I live in the Sunshine State so I like those rare times when it rains all day. It breaks up the monotony of endless sunshine. Unfortunately if we do get an all day rain event it's usually because we are getting the tail end of a tropical system.

0. An hour of heavy rain would be nice once a fortnight.
