Porto's high is 1.2 C higher than Motueka's high over the year, while it's 1.6C higher than la rochelle. Sunshine is about the same for Motueka and Porto. Not sure if the sea temps stas are right, but NOAA data says Motueka has the higher summer sea temperature than Porto?
Porto is 2.5 higher mean than Nelson , 2.1 as a max - a bigger difference in summer when it matters most . Nelso COOLER in summer to south east England .
Poor show for a so called climate similar to Porto

Seattle finally reached 80F today, the first time since August 26th and people are complaining about the heat. I can never understand that. It's not like it's been constantly warm for months. Vancouver is at 75F and Portland at 90F.

Right now, there is no day in WO's 7-day forecast with a high of 27, even Saturday says 26.
