I haven't suggested NZ has superior summers -the discussion grew out a comment by Chicagogeorge made regarding non summers. tom77falcons responded with a comment about anecdotes, and it grew from there.

I do think NZ has superior summers, but that isn't the point I'm trying to make -if you go back to page 27 and read on from there, all will become clear.
If you're looking for actual summer weather then the Southern U.K far outdoes most of NZ. I don't see how you can dispute that.

I never thought this would make it to 51 pages! How has it turned into a NZ vs SE England summer climate debate?

I think it's more of a matter of some places in the UK are warmer than some places in NZ, during summer - no mystery there.

Some folks think it should be pure science all the time.

That's because climate is a science.

Then you fail to see what the discussion is about.

It's about you trying to override scientific data with colourful anecdotes. Besides this is about London, I shall say no more on the matter.

Well, in the other thread I made a point about how useless anecdotes are, like when I spent time in Dubai, and it was wet, rainy, and relatively cool during the time I was there. I could have that experience and walk away telling everyone Dubai has a cool, wet climate.

Single anecdotes can be viewed separately to multiple consistent anecdotes -observation is the starting point in science.

If you and others had been to Dubai many times, and had that experience most of the time., that would be interesting

I trust all on here to be able to assess the science in it's own right -You think people on here are fools?

Perhaps it's best if you do let it lie.
