As for the other two places, neither are appealing. Santa Cruz is too dry in the summer and Fort Simpson too continental. I'm a fan of low daily diurnal ranges.
Sable Island for you then Perhaps time to apply to build a city out there?

While I like the low diurnal ranges on Sable Island and how wet it is, the winter's are too cold.

The problem with the low diurnals at Swedish locations are that daytime highs become too low as a result... that's the damned either way-thing about having summer means around 17-18C.

What I like about Fort Simpson's July and what makes it stand out is actually that it manages to keep a high 11 during the nights in spite of only lakes being near it. I assume they help out a bit in keeping the nights milder but it's still impressive. Fort Simpson has a milder July low than somewhere like Umeå after all.

I'm going with Fort Simpson, real heat is more likely there. Halifax seems a bit dreary for summer. Santa Cruz is total crap because of no rain.

Halifax for me is the lesser attractive sibling of Stockholm's climate:

Given the warm overnight lows in Stockholm coupled with the extra daylight and sunshine would you take that over Halifax in July?

I don't think so, I can live with 44° of Latitude sun, I am seasoned with it (now I live at 45° of Latitude), and I would pick Halifax for more precipitations.

Halifax - warmest overall, precipitation is ideal, sunshine is moderate, and day length is exactly what I'm used to as I'm at the same latitude (44.25). 65*F is still very lackluster for July, though.

Now if the poll was 23*C mean in July, then there'd probably be an OK climate.
