Current 10 day for my area shows high of 84 F Friday and Saturday and a low of 46 F the night of the 25th.
Welcome to Denver in the south? Then again, its not happening within 1 day. lol
Should get interesting next week. You'll see some changes in the forecast along the way but things still on tap.

Very strange your cooler night is this morning, while mine was yesterday. Wouldn't think that as the cold air mass is leaving. Parts of MS, GA, SC as well. Even if was cloudier there yesterday morning, its still clear here this morning but warmer than you.

Yeah, in his case pretty sure it was the NYC island vs water influence... Coastal NJ dipped into the 30s and the water down there is warmer...I think. But looking at Long Island and the MA island staying in the 40s that for sure is water influence.

Btw the low at LEX this morning was 37°F.
Nice to see you back. We need a central Ohio Valley poster in here.
Can't wait for this front and trough. Not only for the rains but to kick off the new pattern change.
NWS offices starting to mention it in their discussions.

the area
starts to get squeezed from an approaching cold front to the
west, and high pressure over the Atlantic. The potential exists
for the Gulf of Mexico to get tapped with this excess moisture
getting transported into the forecast area. Monday and Tuesday
could be quite humid as a result. As far as actual rain chances,
there are two main shots to contend with. The first is with the
approach of a residual convective boundary racing ahead of the
main system. Both the GFS and ECMWF have this feature. This has
the potential to produce locally heavy showers as it interacts
with the deepening moisture on Monday. As the main upper level
system gets here Tuesday or slightly later, this produces
significant lift and therefore a solid round of moderate to
heavy rain. Both the ECMWF and GFS again are pointing in the
same direction. The only limiting factor would be if the leading
boundary shunts the deeper moisture out to sea. This however in
not what the models are currently signaling.
The dews definitely has to be low enough for ice crystals to form but not too low because then wouldn't be moist enough for the frost.. Not 100% sure on that... But yeah, I think you need dews closer to freezing
And if your dews were much lower than your temperature, your temp would drop giving you more chances of frost.
Dews in mid 30s there this morning, not low enough but then again... It's more about the ground and objects having the dew & temp of freezing or lower.. Place a thermometer in the grass..
My ground is 40° this morning, no frost. Yesterday the ground was at freezing hence the frost while air temp was 38° and dewpoint was 31°
What does frost mean? What's the difference between frost and freeze?
I take it freeze means the freezing point of pure water and below that. How about frost?
However I still see liquid water on the ground when the weather is 0°C or slightly below freezing in İzmit.
This winter, I was seeing liquid water on the ground when the temp was -1.8°C in İzmit ( the temperature was going between -1.8°C and -1.5°C in a cloudy weather when I was outside)

Dews here above freezing , probably why we avoided the frost advisory.

Freeze is when temps drop below 32... frost when temps are above freezing but due to radiational cooling the ground/surface temp is colder so water crystals are frozen.
