As a general rule, the Midwest and Mid-South are more prone to heat waves in the spring and cold waves in the fall than the Northeast and Southeast are.

It was down to 27F at 7 AM! This breaks the previous daily record of 28F. Looks like the GFS was most accurate.

Forecast high today of 60F today and low tonight of 33F.
