6:30amEST map. Another warm foggy morning here and looks like much of the East.
Watch Maria! Those low latitude riding Hurricanes always spell risk for U.S. Forecasted to be a major Cat 3 Hurricane getting to the islands then where does she go from there? (updating Hurricane Maria thread in a bit).
It's amazing how wintry it looks here with all the tree stripped of their leaves.
76F with a 75F dewpoint this morning and not a cloud in the sky
MIA the lone ranger at 80F this morning, even Virginia Key Pier (jutting out into 85F water is cooler at 79F). Perect example of why I disregard official temps here.

wind was strong enough to wipe out all the leaves? was your home damaged by flooding or it's ok?

Less foggy this morning, it was clearly ground-level valley fog that cleared starting around 8 am. Now a deep blue sky, looks like it'll a beautiful but humid day. Tropical storm conditions possible disappeared from my forecast. I don't think Jose's track changed, but just got more certain. Cape and Nantucket will get rough surf and wind but nothing big, I think.
GOES visible shows lots of clouds in Connecticut, confined to valleys further north
I see on your map West Yellowstone is the cold spot at 23F / -5C....not too unusual for them.
Having an extended some here, low around 60F, forecast high about 83F.
I'm not ready for fall just yet, I like a warm september, then fall in october.
My tomatoes are doing well with this weather, I have a few more ripening I'll be
picking today. How's your tomatoes doing?
Didn't do a big garden this year. Couple tomato plants and peppers but that's it. Peppers didn't do well. (too cloudy, rainy, and cool for them this Spring/Summer). Everything ripped up now. Garden beds empty. I did pick some figs 2 days ago though.
BTW -- Saw this yesterday from Yellowstone. Looks like leaves still on trees.

In my area it was (aside from the palm trees of course). My house wasn't damaged by the storm but a boat we were taking care of for a friend got crushed by a tree.
I'll post a pic of the stripped trees in a couple hours.
