It was a first here, the warmth of Dec 2015 was off the charts. A normal December in NYC has a mean of 3.6°C (39°F), Dec 2015 averaged 10.4°C (51°F), shattering the previous record of 7.4°C (45°F) set back in 2006. December 2015 was warm enough to place it amongst the warmest Novembers on record, the warmest has a mean of 11.9°C (54°F).
I had two tomato plants hold on until early January that winter, although they'd already looked horrible before then.
