Brest is very maritim climate because it is located at the westernmost point of Northern Britanny, facing the ocean... Further south the theory that said that oceanic climate are very similar on the Atlantic facade of Europe reveals itself to be quite wrong. La Rochelle being nothing like Brest climatlically speaking and especially in terms of temperatures and sun.

La Rochelle is one of my favourite climates in Europe - it's a peculiar one that place - a climate all by itself
