I only work Monday-Thursday, so it's not exactly a long week. We don't really get enough sun to enjoy it, so even if I was unemployed it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Yeah, I have seen him in quote a few places making disparaging comments about the UK's climate, even outside of the weather forum

all depends on your working hours - if you leave off at 5 or 6 then you won't benefit at all .

I know one or two posties who go out on the golf course in the afternoon ( they're also out in the weather all morning) - different scenario to office workers .

they'll have different takes on the climate no doubt

I work 0700 to 1600. I generally leave home at 0500 to go to the gym before work.
I work in a hangar or in the office, but it's not like I don't see daylight. We have the hangar doors open in summer, and I'm in and out anyway.

I'm sure York is a better climate than you paint it - whatever anyway ,it doesn't matter to me unless i moved there

I spend most of my day outside, and am happy to do indoor work when I get it.

Similar to Seattle, but a bit colder in all seasons. Less rain, though.
