Nah, matey; 38.0° C is the record high for Oberon Springbank (1,053 m AMSL). I am not only much farther southwards, but also another ~220 m higher than Oberon...my record (hottest in modern era), was 35.6° C at 1,277 m AMSL; 2.4° C lower. And remember: temperature records for Oberon do not stretch as far back as that of Bathurst's (which Bathurst Gaol recorded 44.7° C in January 1878).
My forecast would plainly be about ~2.5° C lower than that of Oberon's, of course. Just showing Oberon's forecast now because it looks lovelier
