That time of the year when I start going to the beach.

Date: October 25, 2017:
Time: 9am:
Air Temp: 56°F (13C)
Water Temp: Mid 60s (18C)
5000' Temp: 50°F (10C)

Hello There.

Seaweed

Some folks taking a morning stroll. One in Short sleeves, one with a hoodie, one with a jacket. All with shorts.

I was in jeans and short sleeves. Everyone I passed was very friendly, including me of course.. Smiling and saying good morning.

Some Jet Skiiers and Boaters out there.

Looking back towards the North. Trees still looking fullish.

Was low tide...

Last one. Panorama. Clear skies over land, cloudy over water. That's because there's a front that's out there

Thanks. Go figure. It was with a 1 yr old Galaxy 6s cell phone. Had HD on and used the sharpen feature, maybe that's why.

I just returned a brand new Nikkon CoolPix500. Was sharp but didn't like some features. That's the 2nd camera I returned past yr or so.

beach photos are with an old CoolPix820 camera which has a blotch on the lens and I dropped 3 times.

what was the previous camera you returned? Curious how it compares to the one I bought this summer.

It was the Canon Rebel T5 SLR. The only thing I didn't like was the inter changeable lens and the inability to auto focus. Was having problems during snow and rain holding an umbrella and trying to focus.. Just didn't match my needs and speed for things.

There's a cool site called cameradecision.com that compares all features and aspects of cameras.

It started snowing last night. Quite nasty weather, wet snow blowing in your face sideways. God damn it sucked. It managed to settle though.

Good morning October...

Green. In the city there are lots of completely green birches. Must look weird with a-many centimeters of snow on them.

Spruces got a decently sized load

This oakling got a decent sized load as well. Little oaky wasn't as strong as the big guys though...

Coastal suburbs of Umeå don't have snow on the ground btw.

Love those snow pics and the commentary.

Here is one from yesterday. That little pond of water shouldn't be there. We just had 4-5 inches of rain over the last couple of days.
