For sure the weather gods must be really angry with Canada, I am glad that I live in a continental climate and not a boreal-sub arctic climate

Seeing 3-5" of new snow fell in Northern CT and Southern MA this morning.

Just changed over on Long Island past hour but precip is pretty much done.

Blown forecast here. See the lake effect bands hitting me? I got nearly 2", and we were supposed to see any!

Cold and brisk this morning, 13° and moderate lake effect snow at 7 am.

GFS has above freezing temperatures at the North Pole on Tuesday. Probably won't happen. A strong 953 mb low over the Arctic ocean would pull up mild air from over the Norwegian Sea
