The hottest I have ever experienced was in Bullhead City, Arizona. It was 129 that day. Absolutely unbearable.

I think it was 111 degrees here in the DFW metroplex several years ago (around 2000).

The highest temperature ever recorded in Las Vegas was 117 and I was here on vacation when it happened so this could not be possible.

I recall one "122 F" day in Laughlin, Nevada....1995 or 96, I believe. (Laughlin has MANY 115-120's, and I've experienced quite a few of them).

That would be one heck of a steam bath wouldnt it?

Thanks for posting that. I have always wondered what the highest dewpoint ever recorded was. 95° - wow thats steamy!

The highest (officially) I have ever seen our dewpoint here where I live was a dewpoint of 77° at the airport. At my house at that time the DP was like 79°. Its not ever been like that again. Typically our peak dewpoints around here run in the upper 60s and lower 70s in the summer, with occasional mid 70s.

A dew point warmer than body temperature (98f) would cause water to condense in your lungs drowning you anyhow. Thinking back to my birthday though it was a pleasant 67f on 31st August back in 80 something forgot the year. This was in North West England and not far from the scottish border and about 55*N.

Hottest temperature I experienced ever was 34c or may be 35c probably in England or France.

118 degrees in Death Valley in July or August...can't remember which month. We've had it hit 115 while in Phoenix in July.

Well, when I was about 22 mos old living in Farmington, MN, the temperature once reached 107° F (41° C).

The hottest I remember would probably be on July 15, 2006, when it officially reached 102° F at Park Point in Duluth - with just 22% relative humidity. I was right next to the weather station, swimming in the maybe 60° F water. Quite the experience.

I think the 81° or so dewpoint I felt here in 2003 was more impressive, however.
