Heck, I live 10km from Benidorm and I was the 19th in Benidorm and even posted pics in the European weather thread (the old one).

AEMET said that it's hail. I've seen it. Every newspaper said it's hail. XDDDD
Okay, but it looks like snow. So, does Lisbon get more snow than Benidorm?

Lisbon, Benidorm is smelly and full of high rises and has a dirty beach

Look entirely at this video. You can see how it felt at street level, under it. Then from various places looking at the city. It did look white, but it was granulated hail.
It happens in Malta, Cyprus, Tunisia etc almost every winter. Even Benidorm gets it every 2-3 years. But the hype was on, other coastal places had snow that day and some paid more attention to it.
