If I lived in the USA I would choose Fraser, Colorado. Cold and snowy in winter and mild, comfortable summers.

First choice, Fort Pierre South Dakota for excellent examples of distinct seasons, high maximum summer temps, low minimum winter temps, plenty of Great Plains storms. Wish summer minimums would be higher, and more annual precip
