I know. Just goes to show you are taking chances planting troopical plants this far north in the Tampa area. You can go years and do fine and bam one cold nite and they are dead ted. I had a coconut tree living for years when i was in Tampa, but after i moved it got killed in 2010.

Jan 19th 77. Snow stayed on the ground for half a day. That was just before i got into weather. I think the high that day was around 43 or so.

It's looking like Thursday morning (10/26) has at least a 50% chance of dropping below 60F. I really hope it does.

Could depending how far inland you are. I could even see a 55 for my house unless we have any wind blowing off of 85 degree gulf water temps. I am right on the gulf and if i drive 3 miles east it can be 3 degrees colder if there is no wind.

Being inland matters very little here (unless you're way inland or way off the coast) if winds are from the W, NW, or N (which they will be with this cooldown). Being inland matters a ton however if winds are NE off the water.

If i get a northwest wind blowing 15 knts at nite it keeps my temps up. North or northeast wind then it don't matter. I am about 3 to 5 degrees cooler where i am now compared to where i lived in Tampa. Just be happy when that front gets here. Super humid doing yard work this morning.
