Something I really like in the winter, unlike snow, is freezing fog.
I think this birch has finally died. It's been looking pretty unhealthy, losing its leaves far before any other tree, getting them far later etc. Now it's covered by a multiple centimeter thick layer of ice, and there's a huge crack in the ice that's about 2m long and continues through the wood even where there's no ice. Looks like the tree has burst open.
Yestreday and today. Yesterday was quite nice day for this season as the sun was out, today it was with overcast skies.
