Shhh. Don’t let all the climate change doom mongering crowds find out about this...... we’re supposed to become a desert if they have their say in this crazy upside down world.

Today’s high temperature managed to eke past the high temperature of 77 F Set in late February with a high temperature of 78 F at the airport and a high of 77 F at eagle creek, today was officially the warmest day so far in 2018, even now at 11 pm, temperatures are still running in the mid to upper 60’s.

Haven't even reached 70 yet here in subarctic Toronto
You'd hate it here.

Finally a warm morning. Warmest since last fall. 50° here but 62° in NYC!

7amEST Maps this morning. 5 maps.

This region. Looks like some parts of the Massachusetts valley holding the cold while other areas warming up. Long Island and coastal CT will take some time to warm up. Water temps in the low 40s I think still.

Warm May like temps this morning. Don't plant anything out yet though.

Zoomed out. Wow, 70s in Eastern Kansas. 60s in many areas.

U.S View with upper Heights. Jet stream digging down over the Rockies down to New Mexico but there's still a ridge over the West coast. Southerly flow in the East but zonal for northern sections

Meanwhile... Blizzard for the Plains.

Snow total forecast

Global temps are up 0.7C in the past 100 years, a rate of warming about 20x faster than post-Ice Age rebounds.

And yet here we are talking about a major snowstorm in the plains states in mid April and despite a few unusually warm days, the possibility of one of the coldest Aprils on modern record for the Midwest and East.
