Snow today in SE PA, but it didn't lay. We got up to the low 40s but now its slipped to the upper 30s. I thought winter was finally over, but.....

Maybe Punxsutawney Phil meant to say 16 more weeks of winter, not 6.


Here I am continuing to grab wood daily.. If the outside temp actually reached 50s outside, (normal is 58F) I wouldn't need to rush to light the fire for heat this evening. Max of 47° today but its 43° already at 6pm.

NYC temps this month..

Only 5 days this month was above normal with the max temp. 7 days were more than 9 degrees below normal. Pink dots are the daily normal max.

To put into perspective.. NYC max temps have been near where the normal lows are for almost half this month!

High was a measly 43F at ORD and 45F at MDW more than 15 degrees below normal.
