Daily precipitation in Athens, GA (since May 15)

TOTAL: 6.60"

It's rained in my corner of northeast Georgia for 13 consecutive days already, and already this morning I can hear the rain on my window. Most of north Georgia is under a flash flood watch until God knows when, and rain chances don't decrease substantially until Friday, which means that the rest of this month is likely to be a washout, and I'll experience rain for up to 17 consecutive days. Ironic, considering Athens only had a trace of precipitation in the first 14 days of the month.

The good news is, it was dry for most of the day on Saturday and Sunday, and there was even an extended period of sunshine on Saturday, so it's not like this entire weekend has been a washout. Today could be, though. Regardless, I'm firing up the grill today, even if it means I have to wear my over-the-calf socks to keep from getting bit by mosquitoes! Happy Memorial Day!
