Of course the heating is still super strong everywhere here no matter what.I Had to open the windows at school today afternoon and take off both jacket and sweater in the train, and I was still sweating after that. Must have been at least 25c.
I don't know why the heating is always so excessive here. I still see so many people wearing wooly hats and jackets in the train/bus while I'm sweating in my shirt. They must be immune to heat.
Yesterday's high and low for Holmön: -1.8/-19.3'C. This is a very cold temperature for Holmön. It's the coldest temperature this year. It is also the coldest temperature this season. It is very cold because there's a lot of ice in the sea now. The sea normally makes Holmön mild in winter, but a lot of the sea is covered making it less mild.
Cureent temperature at 18.45: -0.3'C. The lowest temperature today was -1.1'C. There has only been a 0.8'C diurnal range so far. That's pretty common there because of the weak sun and ocean moderation. It has also been cloudy there today. The forecast for tomorrow is -1/-4'C. It's supposed to be partly sunny. Holmön is the sunniest place in Sweden and the nordics. Visby has 2100h of sunshine annually. That means Holmön has more than 2100h of sunshine annually. That's more than anywhere in Europe north of the Alps. It's not as sunny in the winters though. In winter, inland locations are sunnier. However, in summer islands, like Holmön especially, are sunnier because convective clouds form over land. Often when it's cloudy in Umeå, it's sunny in Holmön.
