15c today afternoon, it felt really warm today compared to even monday and tuesday, especially with the sunshine (finally!). I think it's the warmest day it's been so far in 2018. I was almost sweating in my (albeit heavy) long sleeve shirt carrying my jacket, and the Italians were comfortable with their usual down jackets, these people are really cold-intolerant
copyright-free map. all temperatures are official and come from official sources I posted above or they come from meteociel/weatheronline for certain countries
My water pipes actually froze yesterday for the first time since December 2010. You can tell that our infrastructure really isn't built to cope with cold weather. Nothing boiling water down a drain won't fix though.
Happens in the Southeast US from time to time too. Now here, you would think our infrastructure was built for it, but the street adjacent mine had a water main burst from the cold. The first two weeks of Jan here were the coldest on record, the thing burst and turned the whole intersection into a giant frozen lake. I just love how global warming is giving us record cold every other winter lol.
much milder today, 17c with sun and a low dewpoint. Very nice.
