I wouldn't consider 5-6 as cold in January, I would call that pretty much on the bang on the head aver......erm normal. Here is the forecast for Norwich:-

Average in January is 8, so 5-6c is noticeably cold. At this time of year we should be seeing temps around 10-13c.

The Weather Company is the parent company of TWC. And no he doesn't always predict cold weather. He's using the GFS and Euro Operational and Ensemble models. What models would you want him to use to forecast the weather?

Fairly normal until 29th, then very cold! Note that April usually doesn't have highs below 10c.

I don't think he has any notion of weather models tbh. He's quite simple.

Today here minimum was -4c , and maximum was 0c.

In the last 3 hours it's snowing and currently there is a 5 cm of snow on the ground.

Current temperature is -2c , is't windy (feels like -7c).

You sure? Paris averages a bit more than 3 single digit highs in April.
