An intense t-storm here this afternoon with frequent lightning and some strong wind. Power flashed at the office and I saw where a tree snapped nearby. Didn't get much rain at my house from that storm.

Lightning struck the chimney of a house.

Just a little 3am Summer Thunderstorm. Temps and Dews in the low 70s. Very balmy night.

The lightning was more constant before the core passed through. The storm was pulsing noticeably but still provided a light show and rocking Thunder

I know we had thunderstorms on the last day of the year where I live. Bowling Green, KY didn't officially record thunder, though, but I heard a clap or two. Amazingly, 82 percent of the recorded thunderstorms were between May and September.

Thunderstorm days by month, Bowling Green, KY, 2018:

January - 1
February - 1
March - 2
April - 3
May - 11
June - 10
July - 8
August - 13
September - 8
October - 1
November - 1
December - 2

Total - 61

First t'storm: January 22
Last t'storm: December 27
Largest gap between two thunderstorm days: 34 days, October 2 - November 5
