For more the coldest place.and temps were in Harbin China at -10f and the hottest here in Kuwait at 120 or 50c
Kuwait for me and about 130*F. Coldest? um....not sure. I'm in CT and it's gotten pretty cold but I want to say single digits is the most extreme I can remember. Check back if I get that job in Alaska.
I see -20F all the time in central Vermont. The most recent one is date stamped Feb 13, 2016 on my iPhone. I’ve never seen the thermometer at my Vermont ski place colder than that though i may have seen colder on the mountain. I’ve seen 100F+ in Austin Tx on business trips several times. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it in New England other than at a big asphalt parking lot.
Coldest about -25F, here in Colorado. Hottest about 120F or so, Death Valley, CA. But I've been in about 105F right here in my hometown in CO too - we get a big range of temps.
Lowest: We got below -60 F here a few years ago. I'd have to look up the exact date and exact temp, but it was pretty dang chilly. We always spend some time in the -50s here during winters, but that was my first time going below -60. Takes a lot of energy to keep the house and vehicles from freezing at those temps! I usually keep my house at 60 F, so that's 120 degree difference walking through the door. A real shocker to the system.
Highest, I don't know. Probably high 90s when I was working in Vietnam or Texas.
109F/43C and maybe about 14-16F/-10C to -9C depending on which site. I went out of town once and I remember it being very cold, but I can't remember the exact date and plus it was at a very high elevation so I can't say how cold it was. Probably single digits at 7000 feet or so that day as I have been told but I am not completely sure.
