This climate battle is one that might be hard to choose from. 4 climates that are not the coldest cities ever, but are all cold in one way or another. Either from yearly lows, being cold in general, or having weaker summer (Cold to some)

First climate

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seneca,_Oregon#Climate

If you look at the highs, then you see a pretty middle of the road climate. The row below the highs may look like their lows, but wait that is the mean temperature! You have to go another row below that one to find the actual lows. A low of 9F isn't too bad, but a low of 37.8F as the peak average low in July may have some people running from this climate.

Second Climate:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embarr...hy_and_climate

A climate below 500m in the lower 48 states that borders on subarctic? Yes only the September month averages are holding this climate back. One of the few places not too elevated in the Contiguous United States that actually has a white font in one of the averages (Jan average of -11F/24C). Summers lows are low but still higher than Seneca.

Third Climate:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sitka,_Alaska#Climate

You may see the word "Alaska" and think "Oh boy this will be cold" but you will see that the winters are quite balmy, even compared to the city you are in!(I assume a decent amount of people reading have colder winters than here). Record low is only -1F/-18C. Lows are above freezing all year. Though the summer highs don't even make it to 17C/63F. Yet the summer lows are higher than either of the two cities above! This city is also extremely rainy!

Fourth Climate:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eureka...fornia#Climate

I decided to add a pretty neutral climate. Some people do describe their summers as cold, but the winters are pretty warm compared to most. Still the record high is 87F/31C and the record low is just 20F/-7C. It is also very rainy which makes it slightly worse.

So which climate would you pick out of the four?

In Eureka, you don't have to travel very far inland in search of warm summer temperatures.

Eureka, because it's not cold. Far from it, actually! I know Sitka weather fairly well.

Embarrass, for having more moisture while still keeping cooler summers. I also like the border Dfb/Dfc climate the city has.

Sitka is too mild overall but I do like the precipitation there and it would be a nice choice if I were looking for an agreeable ocenic climate ::

Eureka because it's the warmest but it's still very cold compared to where I live now, which is the Upper Thomson area of Singapore.

Seneca. Nice warm days with cool to cold nights plus plenty of snow during the winter.

From best to worst:

Embarrass: Good daytime temperatures, nights could be warmer in all months. I'd like it except for the stretches of nights in the -20s and below mid-winter. Summer looks great but it's on the cool side. It could use more snow.

Seneca: High temperatures are good all year but the summer nights are too cold.

Eureka: Temperatures are comfortable year-round but I would miss having seasons. Though I could just drive inland to somewhere warmer in summer/colder in winter. Willow Creek averages 95 degree highs in July (35C).

Sikta: Temperatures are tolerable year-round but it's too wet and oceanic.

Also, Arcata looks even worse than Eureka if the Wikipedia data is right. Only 62/51 in July (16/11C). It's also less than an hour drive from Willow Creek.

Embarrass because it has the best four-season climate of the four.
