Third consecutive day of breaking records of the year in Southern Brazil, this morning Urupema fall down to -7C/19F, quite cold for May standards there. #ColdBlast
Thoses photos explain why the city always are among the coldests, it lies in a specie of "Hole", where the cold air get trapped in. Also, the native Araucaria Angustifolia are well seen.

Some warmish, humid days ahead for us, prior to a cold shot coming by next wednesday, wich may be the strongest of the season. A good way to kick off winter.
Despite the cold snap in the last 7 days of the month May comes out as warmer than average over most of the country, though not in the southern 25% or so. Several places in the North Is were on track for their warmest ever May, but not now.
