another 2 inches of rain coming in the next 3 days

oddly the rainfall amount we have a 1 in 10 chance of exceeding isn't much higher than the forecast; means not much random big pop-up thunderstorms could boost the totals, it's coming mostly in big rainbands

Spoiler

very muggy morning; 77°F by 9 am with dews in the low 70s

The 4 hottest Julys in Seattle have all occurred over the past decade.

Quote:
10 out of 12 of the hottest months ever record have been since 2010. August and September of 1967 are the only outliers.

Thought would be more actually. So 6 of them happened other years. Hopefully we reverse that and start seeing 4 of the Coldest months happened past 10 yrs.

Meanwhile, Only 3 out of the 19 hottest Julys have been in the past decade in NYC. 6 out of 19 here (less yrs on record)

Drove through that line this morning, rain drops seemed bigger than usual. Poured pretty good. Haven't checked my gauge yet.

Wow at 39"+ so far...and not even from a Tropical System. I got 31.78" IMBY not including after 7am today.

Last Saturday I started a panic....but a good one. I sent a text message out to friends and family saying "We're entering a wet pattern, I'm going to mow today after work". Seems like some took my warning and appreciated it. lolol.

Love the maps. Finally can scroll through maps for other areas. Keep em coming. I question the position of the cold front they have there. Unless it's another one? I thought the cold front would be off the coast on Sunday. Unless they think its slower and will happen Monday?

I didn't say 4 of the hottest. It's the hottest (top 4) were all in the last decade.
