Meteo Summer is ending up with a bang. Gees. And looking forward, we continue this warm pattern next 2 weeks!! So September should end up above/well above normal in the East as well..

Great for crops and gardening though. Apple Picking should last 1-2 weeks longer maybe. As well as peak colors being 1-2 weeks late

I see thunderstorms firing up in Indiana, Kentucky, southern Michigan and western Ohio right now, so I doubt that Indianapolis, Detroit, Cincinnati or Columbus will make it to 90°F today. Cleveland might. Pittsburgh might. Cleveland is currently at 81°F, and Pittsburgh is currently at 80°F. At this time yesterday, both cities were at 80°F, and both had high temperatures of 92°F, so it's likely that both can do it again, though Cleveland appears to have a smaller window of time to get there, since AccuWeather is forecasting thunderstorms in Cleveland by 4PM. On the other hand, AccuWeather isn't forecasting thunderstorms in Pittsburgh until 10PM, so Pittsburgh appears to have a larger window of time, provided no thunderstorms fire up far in advance of the current convection. We'll see how things go in the next six to eight hours, though.

Yeah, not going to do 90 in Indy. We're at 76 as of 10AM with a forecast high of just 84 today. We did have clouds and very brief rain this morning in spots, but now the sun has come out. Rain to the west seems to be diminishing. But a west wind instead of southerly like the last couple days that got us to 90 degrees.

78 F could easily pass for a summer low in Tampa or Houston.

Looks like the center of the ridge is displaced pretty far north this week. Much of the south Atlantic is seeing cooler weather right now than the mid/north Atlantic. Savannah had a low of 71 F this morning and is expected to get up to 90 F today whereas Boston had an 81 F low this morning with a forecast high of 99 F with 70 F+ dews.

Temp departures every 7 days this month (minus 29th-31st)

Looks like Nebraska & Kansas didn't have a bad August. Nice spot they were in.

Northeast view. Every week was above normal. Even with the rain we had!
