All the more indicative that it will likely be a humid heat as opposed to a dry heat, I don’t know how exactly things work in the south central United States but from my past weather observations in Fort Worth not too far from Norman, whenever temperatures would surge into the triple digits, there seems to be a 50/50 give or take a few chance that it could be a drier heat, not as dry as a true desert but far less humid than say Houston and points east, all in all, with a humid gulf airmass in place, it is difficult to crack the century mark, heck even getting to 98 or 99 Degrees can be quite a feat to accomplish, even with that brutal North Texas sun angle.

Beautiful weather in my corner of Northeast Georgia. Yesterday, there was barely a cloud in the sky, and the air was dry, with temperatures in the mid-80s. This morning the temperature dropped down into the lower 60s, and today it's back in the mid-80s, though there's been a pretty thick and persistent canopy of high clouds for most of the day. Still, the air is dry, and the chance of rain is nil until Saturday.

By the way, there was no rain observed in Athens this past Sunday, so the streak of consecutive days with measurable precipitation ended at 19.

I hate Upper Level Lows with a passion. Nothing but clouds and cool weather for the past few days here with barely any sunshine. Thankfully this looks to break down later into the week and into next week.

I would kill for that weather. Day 6 and no rain. Lets prey that kink from the west moves east and gives my area some lift for some nice rain. Very heavy here with a non stop west wind and no rain anywhere near me.

Not so fast. Already eyeing a typhoon in east Asia that is expected to recurve, and we all know that recurving typhoons bring Canadian air into the eastern two thirds.

Wow, it never got past 78F today! A storm complex came out of the north late in the morning; I got 0.94" of rain today and the airport got 1.31".
