This will be a fun one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riga#Climate

Firstly you have Riga. A sturdy cold climate with cold winters and "meh" summers. The summers are definitely lacking true heat, but they aren't terrible in my opinion as they are very comfortable. It is also a very cloudy climate.

My second climate is not of a real place but it is based on the Western US Mountains. The summers are quite hot during the day, but it is a dry heat. The nights are warm, but are usually comfortable with low dewpoints. The summers are some of the sunniest you can find, but rain is very rare in July and August. Going those two months without any sort of rain wouldn't be out of the question. Transitional seasons are pretty straight forward with one warm month, one in-between month, and one cool month. Winters are pretty cold, and are quite snowy.

The fictional climate because the summers are much better than Riga and it has more impressive extremes.

Riga, only because it's not arid. The fictional one has much better summer temps though.

The Fictional climate because it has actual Summers. I need Summers to at least be as warm as Seattle's Summers at the bare minimum. Anything cooler than that isn't real Summer.

Riga, because of cooler, wetter and cloudier summers.

Riga = E/E+
Fake = D+

Fake has milder winters, more sun, warmer summers which is preferable to Riga's rubbish.
