It looks like this fall will wind up tied for 10th coldest in the OKC area. That makes this the first top-10 coldest season I've experienced ever in my 20 years of life. Raleigh has been experiencing major growth in their UHI over the past 20 years, which is the main reason why. They last had a top-10 coldest season in spring of 1996. OKC has now had five top-10 coldest seasons since 2000, but this is the first time I've been in the region to experience it.
Also, we got thunderstorms today for the first time in a while, giving us 0.31" of rain, and making today the rainiest day of the month.
Weird, I would've expected Raleigh to be the one experiencing record cold months, since it seems like all the cold the past few years has been centered on the East Coast
It is fall until Dec 21st and it is that simple. Heavy rain 60 miles offshore. Like i said a few days ago i expect .70" max out of this line of rain. Anything over .70" and i will be very happy pappy.
