Not surprised. Areas farther west across the deep South are better at getting colder air aloft. Wunderground currently has rain and low 40s Farenheit for Sunday evening here.

I think the Vortex is outside here. Lol.

Winds are ripping and temps have tanked 25 degrees in 4hrs to 13°F. Things are popping outside. Slush balls are like rocks, everything froze. Wicked.

Yep hearing the popping noises outside. Good luck to anyone who didn't dig out their car today.

At least the roads dried quick. Was worried we'd have sheets of ice from all the rain. The popping noises reminds me of Feb 2015. Trees were even doing it.

Lets hope pipes dont.

I didn't go out today. Hopefully the roads will be okay tomorrow. Probably were able to dry out this afternoon between all the wind and salt.
