Wouldn't be surprised if we got another below average March. That's been the overwhelming trend going back to 2013

The La Nina like pattern we've been experiencing is the result of a +TNH https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/data/teledoc/tnh.shtml

Lol Tom thinks I'm cherry picking met reports which predict a cold start to spring. Really? Look below.

On a calm clear morning you can tell where the frost hollows are in Chicagoland. Aurora, Rockford and Waukegan are around zero while Kankakee and Midway are in the upper teens and the UHI of downtown Chicago near the lake is 21F

We skipped spring. Already insane dew points of 71+ with this locked and blocked pattern that won't change anytime soon.

Nice cold morning here with full sun. That sun is getting higher and higher.
21°F and it sounds like the spring birds are out. Weird.

Winter Weather Advisory for central Indiana from 10PM tonight until 10AM tomorrow in Indy, 7AM south of Indy, 4AM southwest. 1-3 inches of snow beginning after midnight could mix with or change over to freezing rain briefly before daybreak tomorrow before temps rise above freezing around 6 or 7AM. I guess the only reason it goes so late here in Indy is because the ground could still be frozen with slick spots for the morning commute. After that, temps warm to at or above normal for the rest of the week and the coming weekend.
