Precipitation in Atlanta is pretty uniform year round and can be quite heavy. My husband will wash both of our cars every month or two. He will wax both cars twice a year each.
We have zoysia grass. Typically, we'll mow every week or so. Now ideally, we try to wait for a three or four consecutive day stretch of dry weather to mow. If there’s a stretch of rainy weather it can go longer. If the grass then starts to get too long, we'll give in and mow even if the yard is still pretty wet.
Summer here in Florida means you never have to wash your car or water your lawns. However, the downside is you have to mow the grass at least every 5-7 days.

How do you manage that? We get rain almost every day this time of year and my car, which sits out, is dirty most of the time. Without soap, water alone doesn't cut it.

You're in SW Florida. Heard everything from the Panhandle to New Orleans to Houston barely has a dry season--even winters are rainy. Sounds like the Central Gulf Coast is the place to be if you never want to wash your car, water the lawn, or pay insanely expensive water bills. As for the lawn, I'll live in a townhome so I won't have a lawn to begin with.
We definitely have a dry season. It should be starting in the next few weeks and normally runs till June 1st. We sometimes go weeks and weeks without a drop of rain. However, the sun is still pretty strong down here in the winter

I heard, though, that Houston, New Orleans, and the Panhandle never has a dry season.
Here in California every year we go for 4 months without a drop of rain.
