As I understand it, it won't last "forever" as warmer temps starting 3-8-19.

No negative AO or NAO so it won't last forever, but it will stick around for about 2 weeks or more in the Midwest

Correct but incorrect. lol.

Correct, it wont last forever. Incorrect warmer temps after 3/8. I think it will be mid month when we start the turn around. So this cold should last 10-14 days at least

March used to have our most nasty weather when we had winters years ago.

Well in my locale it gets into the low 40's on 3/9, then low 50's on 3/10 - at least that's the long range forecast at this time and you know how that goes.

But no (in my locale in SWNJ) foreseeable snowstorms........................................ ..yet.

It may be typical for the crappy continental climate of eastern North America to have cold in March, since the pool of cold air to our north is just growing and growing throughout the winter. But it's extremely weird for most of North America to be affected by extreme cold so late in the season. Stretching from coast to coast pretty much.

Winter started early in November, then disappeared in December. Cam back with record cold in late January. February has been a little below normal. Extremely cold for early March, and I don't see a break at least through the first 8 days of the month
