Don't know where we live? I was talking about heat, your area will see more and more rain over the next 70 years while my area becomes much more dry with a displaced ridge axis on top of FL. The planet will see less and less canes but will see some stronger one's, pushing to CAT6.

Well some speculate that the Midwest and Great Plains will see a permanent Dust Bowl. I don't believe it.

So much rain in the Midwest this May has impeded planting of crops. More rain on the way.

If this rainfall projection is correct then farmers are in big trouble. Jeez...

Temps shoot up 40 degrees warmer this afternoon from yesterday afternoon. Overall pattern shows mostly above average temps and rain over the next two weeks

Fasinating to see. Watch the trough out west start moving Eastward then a Ridge builds north in the East and the Trough stays put out west with 3 separate Upper Lows there. the Upper Low looks to rotate around inside the trough rather than move east or Northeast like usual.

Signs of a strong Eastern Ridge. I bet an Upper low from Canada would push that ridge down but an Upper low from the West is not strong enough.

Either way, the West about to experience a long stretch of cold/cool weather. Opposite for East. In 10 days the ridge looks to redevelop in central U.S giving the East a break

Play the loop back and forth at your own pace here.

With a heat wave high stuck in the southeast all summer the same areas will see rains like they did in the summer of 1993. So far my rain fall amounts are about the same as last winter- spring.

strange weather pattern yesterday in Northampton, MA. Low 50s and off and on rain till mid-afternoon, then warm humid air spilled in from the south. Daily max was at 7 pm (67°F), 53°F at 3 pm

last 7 days

Spoiler

huge temperature contrast before the warm air arrived by the MA-CT. Was stuck and frustrating to watch

https://twitter.com/4cast4you/status...22908638531584

no contrast at 10 pm

https://twitter.com/NWSBoston/status...69455179063296

moisture from the rain + humidity led to ground fog at sunset, especially along the river

First ridge to pump north as much.

High And Dry under the ridge. Unless there's convective stuff a ridge brings sunny hot conditions.

1pmEST map. Upper Low is over Wyoming/South Dakota

Where is the farthest north a heat wave will be this week??
