In fact, it's gotten akin to the temperate rainforest in British Columbia...year round.
With a heat wave high stuck in the southeast all summer the same areas will see rains like they did in the summer of 1993. So far my rain fall amounts are about the same as last winter- spring.
Florida is going to be bone dry in the next few weeks. The Miami extended forecast is nothing but sun for the 14 days. Usually by the end of May those pop up thunderstorms should be occurring daily.
I'm guessing this weather pattern will put Florida into a drought situation soon.

Well May has had above normal rain for the month. Most Mays i get around no rain to around 1", but had 4" so far. I expect little rain until after June 15th. Most Mays are dry anyways.
It was around 80F earlier with sunny skies, but a thunderstorm just popped up and now it is pouring the rain.
I was hoping we would get some rain to cool us down. My newly planted grass will love it.
I am not looking forward to this southeastern ridge that is strenthening later this week. The highest temperature in my forecast is 85F, but what I really don’t like are the dew points above 60F and no rain.
