Couple of maps.. I was looking for the farthest north the heat wave will be. Looks like North Carolina I think.

Here are the forecast max temps for Tuesday. I thought was going to be hot this whole week. Not bad north of Carolinas.

but then I realized this ridge isn't going to pump up until Thursday

Here is next Saturdays forecast highs

It's here.

Sometimes I forget how big Ontario is (almost twice the size of Texas)....

Good example is this morning....

Currently it is a balmy 20C in Point Pelee 42N and a cool -2C at Fort Severn 56N on Hudson Bay

Some places in Ontario will reach 30C (with humidity feeling like high 30s or 100F)
far north cool...barely above freezing in comparison.

Hartford has not hit 80°F yet this year. (they should tomm)

Normal is April 28th. I didn't realize how late it was this year.

Have to go back to 1999 when it took till May 22nd

June 15, 1924 was the latest to get to 80°.

Heavy storms here late last night. I ended up with 3.37"! A lot of lightning, but nothing severe where I'm at.

Tornado warnings to my southwest and south and seeing some reports of damage. There was a "PDS" warning for a large tornado confirmed by radar.

Spoiler

The annual rim of garbage(fire) pattern, lasting a month every single spring.
Here in the Midwest US, we continue to suffer...seemingly endlessly.
In fact, it's gotten akin to the temperate rainforest in British Columbia...year round.

Florida is going to be bone dry in the next few weeks. The Miami extended forecast is nothing but sun for the 14 days. Usually by the end of May those pop up thunderstorms should be occurring daily.

I'm guessing this weather pattern will put Florida into a drought situation soon.

Well May has had above normal rain for the month. Most Mays i get around no rain to around 1", but had 4" so far. I expect little rain until after June 15th. Most Mays are dry anyways.

It was around 80F earlier with sunny skies, but a thunderstorm just popped up and now it is pouring the rain.
I was hoping we would get some rain to cool us down. My newly planted grass will love it.

I am not looking forward to this southeastern ridge that is strenthening later this week. The highest temperature in my forecast is 85F, but what I really don’t like are the dew points above 60F and no rain.
