Summers are excellent, however the winters and especially the winter lows are a bit too cold.

Here is a typical winter's snowfall round here. This particular video was filmed between Jindabyne and Kalkite, straddling only 980-1,115 m AMSL; much lower down than I am, as my elevation straddles 1,265-1,280 m AMSL:
