This would score a D+; cold, snowy winters, but non-existant summers and no thunderstorms likewise. Looks very fun and squally/windy year-round, however! Most certainly better than that boring Spanish climate from earlier (which was D–, almost E+ even).

Grytviken and Bird Island, South Georgia are much better than this due to more snow, and more fun.

It’s impressive that this place has an ET climate (and not even borderline subarctic, either) and is closer to the equator than Seattle.

What is the closest ET to the equator at sea level? Is it the northernmost point of the Crozet Islands at 45°56’ S?

But anyway, F.

F. But it is better than Torshavn.

It's an F+

Although I despise that weather, those temperatures are still rather harmless. It's better than really frozen permafrost tundras.

I generally prefer temperate oceanic climates over temperate continental ones compared to most people on this forum, but this is just too much. F.

Still, I might take this over Ulaanbaatar, especially when looking at the latitude.

I wouldn't Ulaanbaatar is a B for me. Bayankhongor is an A.

Grade: 22.8% / F-

This is bad. Far too gloomy, no summers whatsoever, subpar winter temperatures. It's just a sloppy, limbo temperature mess year round.

Winter mean / Summer mean / Seasonal range / Precip / Seasonal lag / Snowfall / Record range*

68 / 38 / 20 / 63 / 28 / 90 / 15

D. Excessively chilly, but not impossible or brutal to cope with. It would be an eternal oceanic winter, which IMO would still clearly be better than Mecca or Niamey.

F. It would get a D if trees could grow there owing to above freezing winters.
