My chief point was that plentiful sunshine hours, no matter the amount, do NOT render a climate less polar than another; it is chiefly the temperature(s) that ultimately decide whether or not a climate is polar.

Neither fits the description of my climate, there must be no significant difference between winter and summer precipitation, so it can’t be polar
