Nice! yes Iceland is very expensive. They lure you in with the cheap flight and then drain your bank account while you are there

Absolutely not. Those average highs are what we have in spring and fall here.

Mild? Probably. Warm? Maybe marginally so. Hot? No way. Reykjavik has marginally warm summers at best.

No way. A average high of 14c in summer is not what I would call a warm summer temperature.

50F certainly is NOT "warm".

Not that I wouldn't like to visit there someday.

It's all a matter of personal preference. For me, 'warm' is 85-95, anything less than 80 is 'cold'. Mrs. Z thinks I'm nuts. Skin-diving off the Dry Tortugas in June with a water temp of 80, I had to keep getting back in the boat to warm up.

I personally would not consider it to have a warm summer as I know it; warm summers range around 72 F-77 F.

I find Reykjavik's summers to be decent in that they are mild and it's unlikely they will end up with an ugly heatwave. It's one of the places I would love to visit someday.

Out of a possible 630+ hours in June? That’s under 25% of possible sunshine so absolutely not
