Well, WUnderground and local news channels have really backed off on the snowfall here in Indy for Sunday. WU just lists an inch possible. Local news stations seem to be sticking with 1-3 inches. Very different from what Accuweather is saying, still this morning, having us in the 3-6 inch range.

WUnderground:

WISH-TV 8

CBS 4:

Check out the trend for tonights storm! Go Boston.

Snowfall totals this season so far..

DC(Dulles): 24.9"
Roanoke: 19.6"
Providence: 17.6
Wilmington: 17.1"
Atlantic City 16.6"

Boston: 13.9"
Bridgeport: 11.1"
NYC: 10.1"
Islip: 8.7"
JFK: 8.6
LGA: 8.3"

Would of been fun ending it like that. Oh well. Still fascinating that it took till March to beat some areas south of us here.

Oh No! I'm considerably north of Pittsburgh remember (30 miles north and east)! I could be on the lower end of this now! I still easily see 6", and getting me to my annual snowfall

Loop last 4 hrs as the sun sets this evening.

2 separate systems on the map. One producing snow, the other rain. The midwest system will just evaporate coming across grazing northern New England.

The rain system currently in the Mid Atlantic is the snow event tonight in the Northeast.

NWS NY snow total forecast for tonight only. Not Sundays storm! Biggest since November!

Eastern MA getting some snowfall recently now.

Last 4 hrs. Watch that freezing line at 5000' creep northward!

If that freezing line is north of your location, goodbye snowflakes.

This 850mb level is fun to watch. Always crucial in the snow/No snow situation. You can still have ice and sleet if its above freezing at 5000', just not snow. (unless your above 3500' elevation)
