I apologize if this has been posted before and I didn't see it.

What is the wettest major city in the world (say, >1 million people) in terms of annual precipitation? The best I could find is Bogor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bogor#Climate), with has 161"/yr.

What is the wettest major city in the world (>1 million) in terms of number of rainy days? This is because there are places with a lot of rain but with a substantial dry season (e.g. much of India). I read that Torshavn has 273 precipitation days a year (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T%C3%B3rshavn#Climate), but Torhsavn has only 20000 people. I'm curious if there is a large city where it rains/snows almost all the time, throughout the year.

Metropolitan areas of 1 million+ are also okay. How do these big cities deal with all that rain and gloom? Thanks.

Wiki article says Bago averages those numbers in some areas of the city, not as a whole.
My pick would be Monrovia, Liberia, with 4600mm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monrovia#Climate

Monrovia must be the wettest national capital by annual rainfall, but it almost certainly isn't by number of rain days per year as it has a distinct dry season.

For me the standout wet city is Quibdó, Colombia. It's not especially large but it is extraordinarily wet both in terms of average rainfall per year (8130.5 mm) and rain days (304 per year). Wikipedia states that the next wettest city of larger size is Monrovia with 4624 mm and 181 days.
