Well here's a question...If Europe is torching does that mean we're going to get a Polar Vortex slap all winter?

BTW - I believe Western Europe is cold right now, Russia/ Asia is well below normal. Not 100%
Knowing my luck this upcoming winter will be 1,000 times more severe in terms of arctic outbreaks than last winter was, only without any appreciable snow or ice storms.

Had a low of 62F last night (1F above the record). One more relatively dry day tomorrow, then humidity returning this weekend. Also daily t-storm chances Saturday through the remainder of the month. I'm at 5.67" of rain for the month of July to date (5.53" at the airport).

A GIF of 2 frames. Normal Min temps and the actual min temps yesterday. Normal of 70s and some areas were in the 50s and 60s. Record cold

Made by Photoshop.

Donna Nook, Lincolnshire saw a heat burst last night. Temps rose from 22c at 22:00 to 32c at 22:10, before falling back to 22c by 22:20!

They just said on the news that the Saharan air that causes the massive heat wave in Europe is now on its way to Greenland, where it could accelerate the melting of ice considerably

Wow! -that's impressive.

Was there much wind damage with it? -had a heat burst here about 15 years ago, and it toppled close to a million trees in a couple of hours.
